EAU DE COLOGNE IMPÉRIALE by GUERLAIN is an Eau de Cologne that was created in 1853 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain. This was Guerlain's inaugural Eau de Cologne, crafted specifically for Empress Eugenie, the spouse of Napoleon III. Its exceptional quality earned Guerlain the distinguished title of "Her Majesty's Perfumer." The empress exclusively wore this fragrance until she permitted its commercial release. The label proudly features the emblem of the Empire, showcasing Napoleon’s chosen coat of arms: the eagle, the imperial crown, and the scepter. The bottle is adorned with a depiction of 69 bees, symbolizing the Napoleonic Empire and representing Guerlain's "Eaux" lineage. Customers have the option to personalize their purchase with handcrafted gold plating or by adding their initials. The fragrance is floral and citrusy, offering a subtle, refined, and delicate scent.
